The incident that happened 2 days after Christmas

The First Phone Call: 12/27/14 9:12a.m.

Mother: “I was supposed to bring the kids home on Friday, but I will bring them back tonight.”
§         She also pointed out that she does not have my son’s medicine and he has gone two days without medicine.

Me: I told her to “come get his medicine.”

Mother: “I am at work and do not get off until 3pm. Can you bring the medicine to my apartment?”

Me: “My car is broken, and I do not have a ride.”

The Second Phone Call: 12/27/14 3:38 pm

Mother: “Our son broke his tablet.” and the tablet that belonged to her friends’ son. “It is going to cost me $200 for them both. What are we going to do about making sure that this does not happen again?”

Me: “You will get his medicine.”

Mother: She hung up the phone.

The Knock at the Door about an hour later

My son and his mother stood at the door.

Mother…

Me: “What time will our daughter return home?”

Mother: “She was not ready to return home and was still playing. She will be home tonight.”
§         My daughter was not returned home that night, but two days later.

My text message: 12/27/14 @ 11:18pm

Me: “Where is my daughter? You said when you dropped off my son that you were dropping her off tonight too. I am waiting for her.”

The response Sunday Morning: 12/28/14 @ 6:12 am

Mother: “She is with me, what do you think? She wasn’t ready to go. I will bring her back when I get off.”

Text Message: 12/28/14 @ 8:02 pm

Mother: “I am tired and my tooth is killing me. I just took meds. I will drop her off in the morning on my way to work. It’s raining. Expect her at 6:30 sharp.”

Text Message: 12/29/14 @ 6:10 am

Mother: “We are on the way”

My Final thoughts

She lied twice about bringing our daughter home. The rain has never stopped her from dropping the kids off in the past nor has the cold.

I will discuss how I feel about this matter in the follow up, to this story.

Copper Sole Socks Review

Disclaimer: I received this product in exchanged for a honest review from Buzz-agent.

Copper Sole Socks ( From Media Kit)

The term Athlete’s Foot is a little misleading. In fact, 70% of all people will develop Athlete’s Foot at some point in their life. You know what all those people have in common? It’s not a 40 inch vertical – they all have feet.

And, we’re guessing, so do you. But with Copper Sole socks you can put your worst foot fears to rest when you wear them at least 8 hours a day for around 4 weeks. They’re the only socks that contain EPA-registered Cupron AntiFungal Fibers. These special yarns are infused with copper ion technology which prevents and eliminates Athlete’s Foot fungus on the sock, killing 99.9% of it after 12 hours of contact.

Even if you’re sure your feet are fungus-free, you’ll be wowed by what these socks can do. The Cupron AntiFungal Fibers also eliminate and prevent foot odor, rejuvenating your feet while improving their appearance and elasticity. After only 4 weeks of wear you’ll notice a huge difference.

WHERE TO STOCK UP ON SOCKS?
Copper Sole wanted to make sure they made this exciting new technology available as soon as possible. In order to do that, though, you’ll currently only find the socks available online at coppersole.com/premiumsocks. But keep an eye out, as they’ll be available in stores next year!

KEEP YOUR SOCKS ON
In order to experience the full benefits of Copper Sole socks you’ll need to wear them for at least 8 hours a day. It’s starting to get chilly out there, so we imagine you’ll want to keep your toes warm, anyway. Plus, you can even wear them to bed every night and never wake up with stinky feet again.

My Review

I would like conclude this review about Copper Sole Socks using only 2 words Thank You!
These socks were simply the best socks I have ever had and I really mean that. I wore these socks for 8 hours as suggested and I did not want to take them off. My feet felt amazing the whole time I had them on.

Here are some benefits of using the Copper Sole Socks as stated on their website.

Guaranteed to kill athlete's foot on the sock, prevent & eliminate foot odor, & improve the condition of your feet. Powered by Cupron™ Antifungal Fibers

Only socks with Cupron™ AntiFungal Fibers have EPA registered fibers that kill 99.9% of Athlete's

Foot fungus on the sock after 12 hours of contact.

I may not understand what the above statements mean but these made my feet feel like they were loved.I have never walked on a cloud before, but these socks felt just as soft when walking in them.
I would recommend that athletes and non athletes buy these socks because these awesome socks will provide the comfort that your feet deserves.

WISDOMANTICS: AN INTERACTIVE DVD BOARD GAME (TV Plug & Play) Review

Disclaimer: This post was sponsored by FlyBy Blog Promotions. All opinions are my own. I received a free copy of the game for participation.

Wisdomantics–New King James Version (NKJV) (From Media Kit)
is an interactive DVD board game for players of various faiths who desire to gain the vast wisdom of King Solomon. Wisdomantics-NKJV utilizes the proverbs of Solomon and blends chance, knowledge and strategy to create a fun experience while you learn! We are currently developing Wisdomantics-New International Version (NIV), a variation of the original game. This version of the Holy Bible is considered by some to be more mainstream and will allow us to reach a broader scope of consumers. The game’s intent is to bring individuals together to learn how to cope with numerous situations in a fun and relaxed environment.

Wisdomantics utilizes 2 DVDs which contain 400 multiple-choice questions/proverbs. There is a built-in variable timer which automatically adjusts for 1st, 2nd and final attempt questions. The DVD will grade your response and King Solomon will quote the proverb when you answer correctly.
Finally, the DVD will instruct players when to draw a specialty card which will enable them to navigate the game board.

The game board illustrations chronicle Solomon’s life! They begin with his most notable acts and achievements and end with a divided kingdom through disobedience and rebellion. Hear King Solomon quote his wise biblical truths. The audio-visual element is a huge plus and adds greater depth to the game. Players may also strategize with specialty cards, which can skip or detain opponents, recover lost assets, and provide protection from adverse scenarios. To replicate Solomon’s temple, players receive colored tiles (gold, cypress and cedar) as they navigate the game board. The first player to complete their Solomon’s temple scorecard wins!

Here is a link to video clips about the game:

My Review

The Good

Awesome game for the whole family and friends
This game has blessing cards!
You can play the game with the DVD and Board or with just the DVD's

The Not So Good

The game is not recommended for kids under 12
Blessing cards do contain actual blessings

Unfortunately, I could not play this game with my kids because my kids are 7 and 9 yrs old and I am a single parent. While the board game portion of the game was easy for my kids, the questions were a little advance for their age. Nevertheless, the game reminds me of a combination of Monopoly, Bingo & Taboo because it contains elements from each game. The option to play the game using only the DVD's was a good idea. My only let down was the blessing cards because I wanted each card to have a reward attached to it.  However, the Achievement cards do offer rewards and obstacles that help determine if you will win or lose the game. Overall, it is a good board game that I can play with friends and my kids when they get older.

HOT WHEELS® RC STREET HAWK™ The Good, Bad & Awesome Review

Disclaimer: I received this product in exchanged for a honest review from Buzz-agent.

The Good

Ladies and Gentlemen the Street Hawk comes already assembled.
The instructions are easy to read and understand.
It only needs to charge for 40 mins and then its time to fly.

The Bad

The Street Hawk is made out of Styrofoam and fragile.
The propellers on the wings are very small and can come off.
The wheels are tin and should be use driven on smooth surfaces.
In drive mode, the Street Hawk can not move in reverse.

The Awesomeness

The Street Hawk looks awesome and cool.
The Street Hawk looks like a flying car because it is a flying car.
The Street Hawk's Styrofoam body provides protection from breaking.
Did I mention that it really does fly?

Final Thoughts

All the neighbor kids wanted to see the Street Hawk fly.
My kids loved it and could not trying to make it fly.

My son with autism only enjoys playing video games and electronic devices. However, once he saw the Street Hawk, he could not put it down.

If the Street Hawk can pull my son away from electronic devices then it gets my recommendation.
Buy the Street Hawk! Your kids will love it.

The worst Frozen Beef Patties in the world!

Dear Readers,

I wanted to treat my kids to hamburgers and homemade potato fries, but instead I discovered a terrible beef product, no one should try, ever. I beg you, please do not buy Flanders 8 quarter pound beef patties, even if the meat is on sale. I can't get my money back.

Flanders 8 quarter pound beef patties is terrible. Flanders does not taste like meat at all, or at least, any meat I ever had. Hamburgers served to kids in the cafeteria are better.

This experience reminds me of the episode of Good Times when the Evan's family bought some bad meat and tried to get the store manager to eat the meat, but refused to do so.

I feel the box should read beef substitute because it does not taste like meat. I have had veggie burgers that taste better.

I am thankful my kids tried it, but I will not give the meat to my kids again. I decided to try these patties, instead of believing other product reviews out there. I read one where the reviewer said the food was bad. I now believe her or him.

I am disappointed in myself, as a parent, for tasting the meat before feeding the kids Flanders. I do not recommend this meat.

Mexican Hot Chocolate Chex Party Mix

Mexican Hot Chocolate Chex Party Mix

Fun, quick recipes are the best during a busy Holiday season. The other night our family made this Mexican Hot Chocolate Chex Party Mix and it was a hit! It was easy to make and certainly easy to eat! The only hard thing about is was not eating it all by myself. It has a great crunch and sweetness to it, with a good hint of cinnamon. Perfect to serve at a party. We also put bags of it in the kids school lunches for a fun dessert. I followed the recipe below. I did sneak in a couple of extra cups of cereal, just to give us a little more to eat and it turned out fine!

Volume 10 Trailer

My Review

I am a big fan and supporter of Veggie Tales and I could not wait to review this product by its creator.

The DVD was very informative and gave a good account of with happen in the New Testament. The dvd explains the origins of each book in the New Testament as well as the story of Jesus Christ.

The DVD features a hand full of puppets are fun loving comedic characters who the kids will enjoy. They will ask questions, sing songs and repeat important messages and points. In conclusion, I thought the DVD did a good job retelling the story of Jesus for kids. My kids and I watched it together and after 20 mins both of my kids were asleep. However, I also thought a times that it gave too much detail for kids and will lose their attention over time. I recommend that you try both series and see which one works for you.
