My son got scratched while playing with his bike and he tried to tell me what happened. He kept repeating

"scratchy wheels". Then I got it, he got the scratch when he was spinning the wheel on his bike. He

also told me that it hurt, what part of the bike that scratched him and that he wanted a band aid on the

scratch.


Today, I learned the meaning of scratchy wheels: I got a scratched while spinning the wheel on my bike.


This was 30 seconds inside my son's autistic mind.

I also have a son who rides the bus to school, so I completely understand how the Lee family felt safe and secure about their son safety. My sons' bus drops him off directly in front of the school then he is escorted to his class. In conclusion, no child should be left on a school bus from 8 am to 4 pm, and whether it is a substitute driver or not. This is even more important for special need drivers because we as parents trust them with our safety and livelihood, and these mistakes can not happen.
